Neon pink glitter tips nails using gel and dual forms

These nails took a while to do as I used glitter gel and crushed ice which I thought would look really good - I loved them but the ice wasn't really visible when I had finished so was a bit of a waste of time, lesson learned! I had a lot of comments on these and they are one of my most favourite designs so far.

Purple with silver flames design using gel and dual forms

I used the dual forms with clear gel and then used regular nail polish to create the design - it took ages to dry because it takes a lot of polish on the tips to make the 'flames' next time I will use gel polish so I can cure it and not worry about waiting for it to dry.

French nails with white glitter tips

I wanted a simple French manicured look at first but when I had finished I thought that it looked too boring and so added some white glitter to the tips.  I'm glad I did, I was really happy with how they turned out.

Red and silver glitter tips using gel and dual forms

This was my first attempt at using glitter gels with dual forms.

I love the fact that when using dual forms you can spend as much time as you like 'creating' your design using both hands rather than having to use only one hand creating nail art on your own nails as you would in the traditional way.  I also love that when you remove the form, you are left with a smooth, perfectly curved, shiny surface - no wiping off residue, and no filing! That's if you put them on correctly and use the right amount of gel of course - it takes a bit of practice to get it right but it is so worth it!

Update for 2014

Hi, I'm back after a long time away! I have had another baby who is now six months old and so have been a little bit busy! I've done my nails a few times since the last time I posted so keep checking in for them..........
